Lagoinha do Leste Hiking Trail

Lagoinha do Leste lies inside a municipal nature park in the south of the island and can only be reached on foot or by sea. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil: pale sand, open ocean and a freshwater lagoon surrounded by Atlantic Forest. Itinerary: • Meeting and safety briefing in Pântano do Sul. • Climb of about 2.2 km (approx. 1 h) through the forest to the hilltop, with views over Pântano do Sul. • Descent to the beach, with the first view of Lagoinha from above. • Free time to swim in the sea or lagoon, rest and eat. • Optional climb to Morro da Coroa, the viewpoint with the beach's most famous view (about 30 min, steep). • Return on the same trail to Pântano do Sul. The trail has a long, steep climb with rocks and roots. Good fitness is required, but the scenery is unforgettable.

Important information
- Difficult level: long, steep climb with rocks and roots; good fitness required
- Minimum age 12; minors must be with a guardian
- No drinking water, shops or reliable phone signal at the beach
- Open sea with strong waves and currents; swim only as advised by the guide
- Rain makes the trail slippery; the departure may be rescheduled per the cancellation policy
- Let us know about health issues, injuries or pregnancy when booking
- Protected area: leave no trash and do not feed the animals
